Privacy Policy

1. Overview

FileMaster4M is a native macOS file manager. Local file operations run on your Mac. Optional FTP/SFTP connections go to the servers you choose, while an optional license purchase is processed by Apple's App Store. The developer operates no server that receives your files or usage data.

2. Information we do not collect

AltLogic does not receive personal information, usage statistics, device identifiers, crash analytics, or behavioral data from the app. Purchases are handled by Apple, and FTP/SFTP transfers go to servers you choose.

3. Files and folders

The app works with files and folders you navigate to in its panels. For protected locations, macOS may request permission through a standard file picker; the app can retain that access with App Sandbox security-scoped bookmarks. FileMaster4M does not request Full Disk Access or scan your disk in the background.

4. Network connections

FileMaster4M includes an optional FTP and SFTP client. Connections to file servers are made to the servers you explicitly enter. Passwords you provide are stored locally in the macOS Keychain and sent to the chosen server as required by the selected protocol. Plain FTP does not encrypt credentials or files; SFTP uses SSH. No connection metadata is sent to the developer. License purchases, restoration and the trial start date (the first-download date signed by Apple) may communicate with Apple through StoreKit.

5. Cloud storage folders

Cloud locations (Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, iCloud Drive, Box) are shown by reading local folders created by macOS or the providers' desktop apps. iCloud Drive is located under ~/Library/Mobile Documents; the others may appear under ~/Library/CloudStorage. FileMaster4M does not connect to these providers through their APIs or ask you to sign in to them.

6. Data retention and deletion

AltLogic does not store your files or usage data on its servers. The app stores settings, bookmarks and saved connections locally, and a list of the days the trial was used in its own Keychain item on your Mac. To remove saved credentials, delete the connection in the app or review its entries in macOS Keychain Access.

7. Children

FileMaster4M is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. AltLogic does not receive usage data from the app.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
