Open RAR, 7z and ISO files on a Mac — and pick what to extract
Most unarchivers on the Mac unpack the whole archive into a folder. FileMaster4M opens the archive inside a file panel instead: you walk through it like any folder, select the files you want and copy only those to the other panel.
Supported formats
Open and extract: RAR (RAR4 and RAR5), ISO 9660, ZIP, 7z, TAR, tar.gz, tar.bz2, tar.xz, GZ, BZ2, XZ, LHA, LZH, CPIO, LZFSE.
RAR and ISO are read-only. UDF and DMG images are not ISO 9660 and are not supported.
How it works
Select the .rar, .7z or .iso file in one panel and press Enter.
Browse the contents; select entries with Space or by mask.
Press F5 to extract the selection into the folder open in the other panel, or use Extract to unpack everything.
The RAR and ISO readers are compiled into the app. Nothing is downloaded and no command-line tool is needed.
